With the assistance of the Rural Electric and Telecommunications Development Center and Mountrail-Williams Electric, Dakota Quality Grain, LLC in Parshall received REDLG funds to construct a 20,500-ton hub fertilizer plant.
This plant will blend, store and arrange for delivery of fertilizer. The company also built a 650,000 bushel grain terminal elevator which is capable of cleaning and blending of grains and loading out 110 car shuttle trains. A rail spur to the facility was also built. The newly organized Dakota Quality Grain, LLC (a newly formed subsidiary company of Dakota Quality Grain Cooperative and Cenex Harvest States) added five new positions in Ross, N.D., a community with a population of about 48. The positions created range in salary from $25,000 to $40,000.
