Multi-Stakeholder Cooperatives: Nuts & Bolts
Trainer: Margaret Lund*
Multi-Stakeholder cooperatives are a relatively new co-op model in the United States, but one of the fastest growing co-op models in other countries. Multi-stakeholder cooperatives allow members from two or more ‘stakeholder’ groups including consumers, producers, workers, volunteers or general community supporters, to work together in a democratic structure of ownership and control to achieve mutual goals.
The program will discuss the ‘nuts & bolts’ of starting a multi-stakeholder co-op and will include examples of existing multi-stakeholder co-ops and resources for groups and practitioners.
