California Co-op Conference
CCCD’s second annual conference comes at a pivotal time in which cooperative development can generate true grassroots change. The cooperative sector is in the position to offer unprecedented guidance and growth as our nation undergoes change and economic restructuring.
Jim Anderson, from the Ohio Employee Ownership Center, will kick off the 2-day event with information about Evergreen Cooperatives—-cooperatively owned green businesses that bring an innovative job and wealth creation strategy to some of the poorest neighborhoods in Cleveland.
The California Co-op Conference is unique because it brings together cooperative leaders from different types of cooperatives, economic development professionals and individuals new to cooperatives who are looking for innovative, effective catalysts for change. Participants learn from one another and form lasting connections.
Additional conference workshop topics include: Job and Wealth Creation Strategies, Creating Local Currency, Co-op Board of Directors Education, Building Local Food Systems, Facilitation Training, Strategic Planning for Co-ops, Consumer Food Co-op Basics, Co-op News and Review, Starting and Financing Cooperatives, AND MORE!!
